You understand more than you consistently live
The insight is real. But ordinary demands keep replacing it before it has enough continuity to change what happens.
Macro Focus keeps the life you're trying to build connected to the life you're actually living—so you can choose, act, learn, and adjust without losing the thread.

Time, attention, energy, comfort, opportunity: movement in one direction always draws from somewhere else.
Many of those trades are unconscious, inherited, habitual, or simply expedient. The trade is already happening. The useful question is whether it is one you would choose if you could see it clearly.
Reflection matters, but clarity is incomplete until an idea meets ordinary life.
We learn by acting, by meeting reality on reality's terms, and growing from it. A direction can be held seriously without being held rigidly.
An aim does not remove uncertainty, friction, or sacrifice. It provides a basis for deciding which costs are worth accepting—and for revising that judgment as consequences become clear.
The point is not constant striving or treating hardship as inherently good. It is clearer judgment about what effort, rest, pleasure, and responsibility are serving.
Judgment becomes more precise. Capacity grows. Character becomes less theoretical. Participation in life becomes more willing and more complete—not because every choice was right, but because reality was allowed to answer back.
Macro Focus
Macro Focus keeps a direction, what happened, relevant sources, and possible patterns in one continuing context. Act, leave, and return after life changes or interrupts you without reconstructing the whole situation. There is no streak to repair and no debt to the product.
For people who recognize this
Macro Focus is for people who think seriously about their lives but do not want another system to perform for. It helps understanding survive long enough to meet ordinary life.
See how it worksThe insight is real. But ordinary demands keep replacing it before it has enough continuity to change what happens.
Notes, conversations, intentions, and sources exist in different places. Returning means rebuilding the picture yet again.
A missed week becomes a broken streak, an overdue plan, or a reason to abandon the system precisely when continuity matters most.
A habit, reaction, or return keeps repeating. Its history, conditions, rewards, relationships, and meaning may all matter at once.
Macro ↔ micro
Sometimes the clearest view is the direction of a whole life. Sometimes it is a recurring pattern. Sometimes it is the few seconds around one choice. Macro Focus moves between these scales because nothing acts alone—and no single scale explains a person.
These are angles for inquiry, not scores or verdicts. They become useful when a wider view adds clarity to a real situation.
Cues, novelty, anticipation, relief, and repetition can shape what becomes salient and wanted. Dopamine belongs here as one mechanism among many—not as a synonym for pleasure or a theory of the whole person.
Wanting is not the same as likingAn aim can remain present while its practical expression changes with reality.
Notes preserve what happened, what stood out, and what may deserve another look.
Ancient and modern perspectives remain connected to their sources, context, and limits.
Repeated moments may reveal something useful. They may also admit more than one explanation.
A finite Wisdom library
Ancient and modern sources can widen a live question without pretending to settle it. Cards carry context and provenance, then leave the judgment with the person reading.
An impression can arrive with force without settling its meaning—or the response to it—in advance.

Repeated behaviour becomes tied to cues and conditions. Intention matters, and so does the environment carrying the repetition.

How Wisdom worksWhy it holds up in real life
The product helps something meaningful remain coherent across reflection, action, interruption, and return. It adds structure where that improves the view and stays quiet where it does not.
A direction, lived experience, relevant sources, and possible connections can remain part of the same thread instead of becoming separate fragments.
Life can interrupt for days or months. There is no streak to recover, backlog to clear, or failure narrative to accept before continuing.
Start with what matters now. A wider view of history, conditions, reward, relationships, or meaning remains within reach without arriving all at once.
Patterns remain tentative and guidance remains inspectable. Macro Focus can improve the view, while judgment and choice remain with the person living it.
From the current beta
Changing energy, competing demands, and unexpected interruptions are part of the design—not exceptions the product asks you to overcome.
“Sometimes life becomes noisy and I do not open it for weeks. That is not the same as giving up on what matters. The product has to understand the difference.”
“I did not want another habit, goal, or nutrition tracker. I wanted somewhere the whole picture could remain visible without every part demanding attention.”
Reflections from beta users will be added only in their own words, lightly edited where needed, and published with permission.
Data boundary
Many retained personal text fields are encrypted on your device before they sync. Account basics and limited operational data remain readable so the service can run. Asking the companion for a response is a separate, deliberate use of readable text.
If you lose your private passphrase, Macro Focus cannot recover the encrypted vault.
Persistent storage includes client-encrypted covered text fields plus readable account and operational fields needed for authentication, billing, delivery, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Practical questions
Macro Focus is a personal change system that keeps direction, lived experience, possible patterns, and source-backed perspective connected. It is not a productivity score, a life program, or a system that decides what matters for you.
Notes preserve fragments. A general AI can answer a prompt. A habit app tracks repetition. Macro Focus keeps the direction, the lived context around it, relevant sources, and tentative patterns in one continuing thread—without streaks, an endless feed, or a demand to use it every day.
Nothing breaks and no streak is lost. A direction can remain meaningful while life temporarily demands attention elsewhere. When you return, Macro Focus is designed to help you recover the thread without manufacturing failure or urgency.
No. Macro Focus does not diagnose, provide psychotherapy, or offer medical or addiction treatment. It can support reflection, learning, and chosen action, but it is not a substitute for qualified care when that is what a situation requires.
Covered personal text is encrypted on your device before persistent storage. When you deliberately request a companion response, the text needed for that request is sent in readable form to the configured AI provider. The distinction is explained in the privacy policy.
A card is required, but nothing is charged during the first 14 days. The selected paid plan begins after the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
Yes. Billing controls are available from Settings, including a direct path to cancel the subscription. The product does not hide cancellation behind support messages or retention screens.
Both plans include the same underlying product and privacy model. Core is for a small number of active directions and intentional voice use. Plus adds room for more simultaneous directions, supporting areas, and requested audio. See the full comparison on the pricing page.
